Monja Simon, originally from the verdant landscapes of the Black Forest, holds a Bachelor's degree in Interior Architecture and is an alumna of Social Design at the Design Academy in Eindhoven. Monja approaches her work as a Community Architect with an intersectional feminist lens, she pioneers a more holistic approach to design, challenging existing paradigms and advocating for a more collective practice. By intertwining tools of Commoning and Storytelling, she creates engaging, relationship-building environments that encourage critical reflection. Drawing inspiration from her passion for fermentation, Monja utilizes the ancient practice as a tool for fostering connection and exploring the role of care labour and gender in food systems.
