Dimitri Machas is a Greek architect, recently graduated from their masters degree at National and Technical University of Athens. Their work in theory revolves around how contemporary politics like Neoliberalism utilise the design of space (with heavier insight on public space) in order to accumulate strength and control over the people. This is done through the sub-sensory experiences of space, through the way psychology and semiotics of space design work upon the self. Their practical design revolves around communal and participative design, understanding that space is for those who live in it and not for those who design it. An architects work is to help and not impose.
