Rachel Himmelfarb is a member of common room, an architectural practice and collaborative platform based in new york city and brussels. common room understands practice as a form of negotiation between multiple authors, clients, and users, who are involved in a constant dialogue of individual and collective values. working closely with a range of cultural producers, institutions and publics, common rooms projects question the way people look at context, everyday spaces and experiences, and institutional and cultural boundaries to challenge what is often taken for granted in the built environment and create new forms of sociality.
