Past the Tower, Under the Tree

At the book brunch, we will discuss Past the Tower, Under the Tree, a joint anthology that presents learning as a communal, embodied, and situated practice. Included in this book are accounts, poems, and musings by practitioners engaged in knowledge creation beyond formal education and institutions, underscoring learning as a process rooted in relationships and evolution.

We’ll have a collective reading and conversation during the session. The brunch offers a communal setting to explore the book’s themes via discussion, active listening, and personal anecdotes. The text explores how hospitality, care, and informal structures facilitate learning. It also discusses how everyday practices of meeting and sharing knowledge help maintain it.
