It takes a while before you understand the structure and importance of a wiki platform. It's not a website where you can provide the image you want or promote the product you want to sell.
A wiki (/ˈwɪki/ ⓘ WIK-ee) is an online hypertext publication collaboratively edited and managed by its own audience, using a web browser. A typical wiki contains multiple pages for the subjects or scope of the project, and could be either open to the public or limited to use within an organization for maintaining its internal knowledge base.
In Timelab we heavily promote the development of open knowlegde bases. Being it for internal use such as our wiki or more open community platforms we love to visit and contribute to.
Over the year 2024 we will develop and support a local wiki community in Ghent. Together with Wiki Media Foundation Belgium and local socio-cultural organisations we will host multiple wiki events.
Parrallel to this local and offline happenings, we will develop an online community around the concept of Critical Making to connect to several reseach projects in our organisation. Keep an eye on our project page and our calendar to stay updated!
