[DEBATE] Facilitating the Unknown
What happens when a facilitator stops trying to inform/teach/manage — and instead holds space for the unknown? A debate with facilitators and designers of participatory processes.
Victor Calame, originally from France, moved to Brussels in 2021 to further develop his artistic practice after earning a Master’s degree from the École Supérieure d'Art et Design in Valence, France, with a focus on graphic design.
His work has consistently evolved at the intersection of two disciplines: graphic arts—through commissioned projects as well as personal initiatives—and woodworking, which ranges from sculptural pieces created with hand tools to large-scale structures built using power tools.
In both the methodology and conception of his projects, these practices are closely intertwined. He favors projects and commissions that allow him to engage with both fields simultaneously.
