Summercamp Fiber Fever 24: Exploring Biomaterials
5 partners challenge 15 designers on a 10 days 24/7 yearly summercamp to make, eat, play, learn and meet in the Timelab jungle. This years topic is Exploring Biomaterials.
I'm Jelle, 28, born and raised in Brussels. I'm the idiot who founded two student raceteams. First at the VUB, where the fablab there become my second home at times technically even my first home. After my engineering studies in Brussels, I conducted 2 years of research in Ghent where a second raceteam was born. After Ghent I lived, worked and prototyped on a farm in southern France.
Currently I live and work in Brussels. I'm working on a project where I design costumes for a erotic dance act the engineering/prototyping way. But still, I need more. I want to build a bridge between prototyping/engineering and expression, create experience with a medium-tech approach.
