Blood related - a Talk by Basse Stittgen
Basse Stittgen reveals a world through a lense of materiality. For this talk he will explore blood as a material beyond disgust and stigma.
Ellen Leemans is a doctoral researcher at VUB Architectural Engineering. In her master thesis she created an optimized primary structure serving as the backbone of a secondary cladding system through modularization and prefabrication. With her current research she aims to create a reusable building system for lightweight temporary structures mainly used in the event sector. Her approach for this research is rather hands-on, making lots of models and prototypes, as it allows to easily gain insights in the feasibility of the system.
